Fresh bread getting baked at American Valley Baking
AVB family member Seth baking tasty bread
Location: Quincy, CA
Bakers: Jim & Lynn Dow, Dale Ready
Contact: (530) 283-9234

American Valley Baking is a family owned and operated affair. From their location inside Quincy Natural Foods, Jim and Lynn Dow and Dale Ready skillfully produce delicious handmade breads, desserts and deli items daily. AVB is responsible for our optional Fresh Bread Share; they put special thought into inventing creative new bread flavors just for our members!

Family matriarch Lynn Dow says that they make a point of running a “hands-on” kitchen. She says “it’s important to not eat food that comes from factories.” They enjoy using mostly organic ingredients, as well as locally-grown ones when possible. In their free time the family raises a garden, hops for homebrewed beer, and laying hens on their farm.
