How our CSA WorksA High Altitude Harvest CSA share will provide you with a weekly box of locally grown vegetables, fruits and herbs. Our main CSA season runs for 16 weeks, from June 19th through October 2nd this year. You can also choose from additional share options of grass-fed beef, fresh bread, a Grand Finale autumn share, and a knitter's share of locally-grown handspun yarn. Check out our Types of Shares page to see more details.
The types and volume of produce will vary as the season changes, providing members with a box of surprises each week (though we post our anticipated harvests on this website each Monday during the season). We think of the CSA as an adventure in seasonal eating, where members get to try out fresh new flavors and an abundance of certain crops when their harvest is in full swing. |

Community Supported Agriculture allows members to share the risk of farming along with the farmer. This means that if pests or weather affect a certain crop, you may get a smaller amount of that type of produce. But if the season is a good one, you’ll enjoy a bountiful variety of produce. We differ from a traditional CSA in that you'll always receive the same value of produce each season; if one crop fails, we'll fill in with another.

NewslettersAlong with your produce you’ll receive a weekly newsletter with updates from our farmers including crop growth, grower bios, recipes, photos, and veggie lore. Check out our Newsletter page to see what they're like.

Our Philosophy in a NutshellWe believe that the quality of the food people eat directly affects their wellbeing. We believe that farmers do valuable work and should be fairly compensated for growing good food. We believe that soil, bugs, air, and water should all benefit from farm practices. And finally, we believe that there is satisfaction in knowing that the food we eat creates delicious meals, a thriving local economy, and vibrant landscapes. Eat up!
