Welcome to the High Altitude Harvest CSA!
Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) provides the food-lovers of Plumas County with delicious, locally grown produce. High Altitude Harvest members receive a weekly share of veggies, fruits and herbs straight from small-scale, Plumas County farmers. Our CSA works with multiple farms so members get the best variety of mountain-grown produce our region has to offer.
What's a CSA?
We like to think of Community Supported Agriculture as a partnership between farmers and eaters. Members reserve their shares in the spring, letting the farmers know that they have a secure market for summer growing season. Our farmers plant a variety of crops - based on CSA member feedback - providing members with fresh, delicious, super-good-for-you produce all season long.
Our Philosophy in a Nutshell
We believe that the quality of the food people eat directly affects their wellbeing. We believe that farmers do valuable work and should be fairly compensated for growing good food. We believe that soil, bugs, air, and water should all benefit from farm practices. And finally, we believe that there is satisfaction in knowing that the food we grow creates delicious meals, a thriving local economy, and vibrant landscapes. Eat up!
