Payment
Shares are filled on a first-come first-served basis. We use a great web-based sign up system that allows payment by Electronic Check or Paper Check (we don't offer a credit card option at this time). You will also be able to choose from multiple installment options. We also offer an EBT payment option for food stamp recipients. Read on for more details.
Payment TypesPaper Check: Sign up online and you'll receive instructions about how to send in your check(s). If you choose an installment plan you'll be asked to send multiple postdated checks which we'll cash when their dates arrive. This prevents us from having to track down payments during the busy growing season.
Electronic Check: You'll enter your checking account and routing number during the online sign up process, and our payment processor will schedule automatic payments from your bank account to ours. You'll receive an e-mail notice when a payment is about to be processed. Totally easy, totally secure. EBT/Food Stamps: Pay with your EBT card every week at the Quincy pick up site. See below for more details. |
Installment PlansThe Payment in Full option is preferable for us because it cuts down on the fees we pay to banks and time spent cashing checks. However, we know not everyone is rolling in dough, so we also offer convenient installment plans to choose from during the sign up process. Details:
- You can choose up to 4 installments. - The first payment will be processed when you sign up. - The remaining installments will be processed monthly starting in June. - Details on specific dates of payment are outlined during the sign up process. |
Subsidized Shares
Sorry to say, at this point we do not have funding to offer subsidize shares for low-income folks in 2013. If you'd like to donate towards our subsidized share fund please contact us!
EBT/Food Stamp Payment Option
We are happy to accept EBT benefits as payment for Quincy pick up site members only. EBT members pay by the week with their EBT card at the pick up site. We ask for a $20 cash or check deposit when you sign up to reserve your share for the season. The deposit will be returned to you at the end of the summer.
Instructions for EBT Sign Up
1. Go through the Sign Up process on our website. Select EBT Payments as your payment plan.
2. We'll e-mail you with instructions for how to submit your $20 cash or check deposit to reserve your share.
3. Every week you'll pay with your EBT card (or cash/check if you're low on benefits) at the Quincy pick up site. It is very important that EBT customers show up every week for pick up. We count on receiving your payment so we can pay our farmers.
4. At the end of the season we'll refund your $20 deposit.
